Grout (or mortar) is a mixture of sand and cement. In addition to
these two basic ingredients, manufacturers can add iron oxide
colors, epoxy, acrylic, latex, and/or other proprietary formulation
ingredients designed to impart an esthetic or performance
characteristic.
